Bio
After a three year apprenticeship as a doll maker in the south of England and twenty years as an art teacher, Lorraine McElroy re-located to Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina.
Using the knowledge gained from the British experience, Lorraine has been designing and making limited edition "Little People Dolls" since 1989.  Her creations have appeared in national magazines and are owned by collectors in the United States and Europe.
Lorraine remains inspired by the textures and the colors of our still pristine Southern Outer Banks. This influence is obvious in the Beachwalker sculptures, tiles, mirrors, birdhouses and bird baths.
