Nan Gilbert
BioFor years I hoarded beads in boxes. My husband suggested that I take classes and make jewelry. Several classes later, I was hooked on designing jewelry. Color and texture are important parts of my designs, just as they are in my paintings.
I have been studying metal work with local artists Janet Harriman, Audrey Corby, Sue Lawrence, and Valda Belyeu. Janet exposed me to the possibilities of Precious Metal Clay, and the others have introduced me to metals and wire. My jewelry is for sale at galleries and shops in eastern North Carolina. |
