These Sandhill Cranes were photographed before sunset when returning 3 miles from fields to their marsh home for the night. At sunrise around 5:30 in January at Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge your photographer's placement was not in their (a couple hundred cranes) chosen heading on that day. He found their destination and captured their full day's activities. Efforts were rewarded, but attached at day's end is the favorite. 12"x16" matted photograph by Norm Kenneally
